Upscale Barber Shop Design Creates a New Atmosphere for Men
As men become more and more aware of their appearance, more barber shop owners are searching for upscale shop design, furniture and equipment. Today, new and luxurious barber salons are popping up all over the country! Owners are looking for custom design that is upscale, distinctive, masculine, rich looking to create an atmosphere of comfort and class for their discerning clientele. The result is an upscale mens barber salon for men with a layout and custom furniture pieces that are both beautiful and functional.
That why iMALE Salon for Men owner, Melinda Rocha, returned to Veeco after great results from their initial project in 2013. Melinda worked together with Veeco Design Director, David S.S. Davis to develop the new and interesting pieces to add to an already dynamic barbering environment of Veeco furniture.
Veeco designed our four double sided stations and our front desk for our loft boutique men’s salon.
Our salon is just under 1000 square feet and the designers from Veeco helped the furniture flow perfectly with our limited space. They also helped bring out our vision with material and textiles that would work with our space. It’s been four years and we are back at Veeco working with fabulous David who has been helping us with our seating area. His talent make us feel confident that our salon will look and feel exactly what we hoped it to be.The visual things he can do with our space on his computer is amazing. He’s an expert in his profession and very personable. If you need inspiration and advise to furnish your salon, we highly recommend Veeco.

The Experts at Veeco Have the Experience Needed to Create Your Barber Shop Design
Having been in the beauty industry for over thirty years David S.S. Davis knows that barbers work from their stations much differently than stylists or colorists. Barbers require a bit more space at their station, as barber chairs tend to be larger than a typical hydraulic styling chair. The tool requirements also differ, as a barber usually will only need space for a blow dryer, several pairs of clippers, and various supplies. The Veeco design team understands that each of our clients have different stylistic directions and have distinct needs to address based on their particular spaces. It is this attention to detail and design that helps Davis and the rest of our designers to recommend the best equipment and design to create the most functional and profitable layout for each unique barber salon.
Veeco Barber School Design Shows Our Understanding of a Barber’s Unique Requirements
Veeco applies the extensive knowledge and experience gathered in the design and layout of thousands of cosmetology schools to create durable, functional, and stunning barber schools and barber labs. By finding innovative ways to incorporate stainless steel furniture into barbering labs, we ensure a long-lasting environment that will outlast class after class after class of heavy student usage. Our stations stand up to heavy usage and are easy to clean and maintain, making sure that once your doors open, you can focus on the business of educating, not repairing and replacing your furniture.
As with a barber shop, the layout of a barber school requires a clear understanding of tool and equipment needs, space management, and power requirements. Our design team makes use of the latest drawing and rendering technology to create floor plans and layouts that will accurately reflect each clients unique and distinct space. Our designers can take you on a virtual walk through of your finished school space while you are in the comfort of your home or office. Focusing on the details specific to each project, our designers will not only be able to help with laying out your space and recommending furniture pieces that will look great, they can also work with you to maximize the number of students on the floor without overcrowding and making it difficult to instruct. We can suggest other essential pieces that will make your barber school stand out, from shampoo areas to reception desks and seating to retail displays.
