I’ve been attending the America’s Beauty Show for over 40 years. Back then, it was simply, The Midwest Show, and it was the cosmetology event of the year. The show featured insanely crazy models in unbelieveable costumes and with hairstyles that still would shock us in 2015. I worked the shows for years and the atmosphere never ceased to amaze me. One year, I got convinced to be a model and had my hair frozen up in the air and striped green. I never did that again.
Over the years the show has seemed to “quiet down” a little, but it’s still a wonderful way to meet new vendors, get some educational credits and get a great buy on product.
